Establishing the House Committee on Healthcare
Currently, healthcare issues are dealt with by multiple committees and subcommittees in the US House. Healthcare is an extremely complex and extremely important issue, and it's been the can that's been kicked down the road for too long.
Healthcare should have its own dedicated committee, run by representatives who understand it.
Patient Care Without Delay Act
Prior Authorization is a tactic insurance companies use to delay and deny necessary treatment to patients. This bill will effectively end the practice of prior authorization.
Only healthcare providers, in collaboration with their patients, should determine the appropriate treatment for a patient. It's time for greedy insurance companies to stop practicing medicine and playing with people's lives.
Private Healthcare Practice Support and Sustainability Act
Private healthcare practices have been swallowed up by private equity-funded corporations that care more about money than people. This has led to a host of problems, including longer wait times, poor-quality care, dissatisfied patients and healthcare providers, and increased costs.
This act provides funding and support to return power to healthcare providers and patients.
The Reproductive Freedom and Health Protection Act
Returns the right to choose what happens to one's own body, and codifies this into law so it can never be stolen again.
